CRT Projector
Technology
Why a CRT Projector?
Compared to a Cathode-Ray Tube (CRT) projector,
all other display systems create a paint-by-the-numbers
type of picture. A CRT projector is the only
type of video display that is virtually transparent
to the image that it displays on your screen.
Each of its 3 primary color CRTs (Red, Blue
and Green) generates a focused (but otherwise
unimpeded) beam of electrons to draw its picture
on a perfectly flat, smooth layer of colored
phosphor, which is deposited on the inside
of its optically clear glass faceplate. Modulating
the beam current varies the brightness of
each portion of the image - high current for
white and no current for black, so the CRT
projector emits no extraneous light. Then,
during installation, the optical lenses on
each CRT are aligned and focused to perfectly
transfer the image onto your projection screen.
The end result is a perfect reproduction of
the original source material, unbroken by
picture elements (pixels) edges or colored
dot patterns. It is easy to see why CRT projectors
are recognized by Hollywood filmmakers and
video enthusiasts as the ultimate technology
for video reproduction. Why should you settle
for anything but the best?
Why a Crystal View™
Projector?
While nothing can or ever will exceed the
picture quality of the best CRT projector, it
is a large and comparatively sophisticated
piece of equipment and, in order to achieve
the best possible picture, requires precision
installation and calibration. To assure you of
the best possible picture and trouble-free
operation in your home theater, Crystal View,
with decades of experience in CRT projectors,
offers a unique array of services with every
projector:
>> All Crystal View projectors incorporate the
most sophisticated CRT video processing and
calibration technology available today,
delivering the very best video imagery
possible. The end-result is detailed,
film-like video reproduction.
>> Before delivery to your dealer, every
Crystal View projector is pre-calibrated and
operationally life-tested at our own service
facility. Our large, well-equipped facility
even provides factory authorized service for
many other home theater and commercial
projector manufacturers.
>> After initial installation by your dealer,
your new Crystal View projector will be
calibrated in your home theater by one of our
own ISF trained technicians, so you are
assured of getting the very best picture
quality that the unit is capable of. This
otherwise costly process is included in the
purchase of your brand-new Crystal View
projector.
>> Crystal View's exceptional 2-year warranty
is not only backed by our extensive service
facility, but our technicians are among the
most experienced and highly-trained in the
industry. In addition, these CRT projectors
are built to military specifications for both
ruggedness and reliability. Used by U.S. armed
forces in extreme environments all around the
world, the units are designed for rapid
service in such critical applications.
Accordingly all of the major subsystems are
built on field-replaceable modules that are
always in stock. If any service issue should
arise, call your dealer and provide them with
the details. Typically, we can send out the
appropriate modules for speedy in-home service
of your projector. Rest assured that we stand
proudly behind all of our Crystal View
products and will do whatever is required to
assure that your new Crystal View projector
