CRYSTAL VIEW™ TO DEBUT NEW TWO-PIECE CRT FRONT PROJECTION SYSTEM AT CES 2003

January 3, 2003 – Crystal View™, Inc. today announced plans to debut a new two-piece front projection system at the upcoming 2003 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, January 9 –12.

The two-piece front projection system consists of two separate components --
an optics head which houses the cathode ray tubes (CRTs), and a base unit, which incorporates the video connections. Both units are connected via a 10’ cable.

The two-piece design of the projection system makes it ideal for home theaters subject to space limitations. The optics head can be positioned in the main home theater room, while the base unit can be installed in a separate room. For installations requiring extended range, there is an option for both 15' and 25’ cables.
“This provides our CRT projector model line with a much smaller body profile”, says David Wolff, Crystal View Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “For installations where the size of the projector may have been an issue, it no longer is -- making this system an ideal solution for home theater designers and architects.”

Standard connections located on the base unit include an RGBHV
(5-BNC) video connection and an RS-232S system control serial input. The unit has a second input slot that can be configured for an RGBHV (5-BNC), component video, or DVI interface connection.

Crystal View plans to market both 8-inch and 9-inch CRT versions of the
two-piece system. The Crystal View 1², which features 9-inch CRTs, will carry a suggested retail price of $69,999. The Crystal View 2², which features 8-inch CRTs, will carry a suggested retail price of $54,999. Each model will be available for shipment in the first quarter of 2003.

Both the new Crystal View 2² two-piece projection system and the award-winning Madrigal Imaging MP-D1 D-ILA projector will be on display at the Earthquake Audio booth (# 20084D), located in the Las Vegas Convention Center. The Crystal View 2 (one-piece) projector, which features 8-inch CRTs, will be on display at the Denon Electronics booth (# 20,000).
