Crystal View's Model CV-50 and CV-43 Plasma Displays in the unique SOUND-ART (pat. pending) loudspeaker frame, are a beautiful and complete audio-video system.

To achieve their exceptional video image quality, each individual Crystal View Plasma Display is mated with its own CV-NNR1, state of the art video-scaler. They are calibrated as a set, by our ISF qualified technicians before shipping, to optimize the picture quality of each one including an accurate 6500 degree color temperature. Crystal View assumes total responsibility for the image quality of the CV-50 and CV-43 and backs that up with one of the nation's largest factory service facilities.

The standard Crystal View Plasma Display frame is also a work of art. A beautifully finished, one- piece frame, it looks splendid on the wall whether the Plasma Display is on or off. The standard clear-coated black gloss finish makes the picture look even brighter and sharper, but, like all Crystal View products, it is available in your choice of any matched color or several wood-grain finishes at no
extra cost.

However, it is the optional SOUND-ART loudspeaker frame that delivers it all - an enhanced video image and room filling, audiophile quality sound. With SOUND-ART, you need no longer suffer the visual distraction of floor-standing, wall-mounted, or in-wall loudspeakers to get high quality sound with your Plasma Display.

SOUND-ART is the result of the collaboration of Crystal View and Snell Acoustics. Each of the loudspeakers in the SOUND-ART Frame integrates two 5.25-inch long-throw woofers and a 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter arranged in a D'Appolito Array, named for Snell's chief engineer. This array enhances the loudspeakers midrange clarity by reducing audible ceiling reflections. The final result is full range performance from 55 Hz to 22 kHz at levels up to 103 dB SPL using amplifiers from 25 to 150 watts per channel. The 6-ohm loudspeakers are also exceptionally sensitive, achieving 90 dB SPL with just 1 watt of power, which means they can play quite loud when simply attached to the plasma panel's own internal amplifiers.

The SOUND-ART frame matches the depth of the plasma panel itself so there is no additional depth to the combination. For maximum rigidity, the frame is machined and laminated from of furniture grade MDF wood. The loudspeakers are enclosed with Snell's Quiet Box Technology in which a dampening layer of Noise Killer ™ is sandwiched between an inner and outer box layer. This structural integrity assures smooth bass response without resonance, even at very loud levels.

The SOUND-ART speaker frame itself sells for no more than you should expect to pay for a pair of free-standing loudspeakers with similar performance. But, when it is placed on one of Crystal View's exceptional plasma display panels, the result is an unparalleled on-wall audio-video system.
